Beeleigh Mill is not normally open to the public except by prior appointment, but Heritage Open Days is a national event where many similar sites are open and entry is free of charge, though donations are always gratefully accepted.
This year we are open between 11 am and 4 pm on 14th, 15th and 22nd September.
The restoration of the the steam mill is a work in progress. If you have visited in previous years you will see that we we have made a lot of progress.
The repairs to the stone floor are complete and we are in the progress of making a mock up of a pair of stones, surrounded by a tun.
The beam engine is now driven by an electric motor allowing us to demonstrate the operation of some of the engine components.
Guided tours of the mill will be available throughout the day.
On the 15th and 22nd there will be a display of historical information relating to the mill and the family of the last miller. Our archivist/researcher will be in attendance.
There is no public parking available at the mill. See our ‘Visiting the mill‘ page for details of where to park.
